The calender is sheet fed and has one heated steel roll and one polymer roll for supercalendering.
The width of th epolymer roll is 300 mm and the diameter is 250 mm, the steel roll diameter is 200 mm.
The polymer roll can easily be exchanged for several different types of rolls, such as paper filled or steel.
- The frame of the calender is open. It takes less than 30 minutes to change rolls.
- The maximum nip load is 330 kN/m (1850 pli) when the maximum paper width is used.
- The steel roll is electrically heated steel roll and the temperature is automatically controlled between 20-200°C.
- The calender speed is regulated by a potentiometer (5 to 40 m/min) from the cabinet.
- The calender is mounted on a table, 750 x 750 mm and with a height of approximately 850 mm.
- A compact building and a sturdy sheet feeding unit makes the calender easy and safe to operate.
- Total weight is about 500 kg.
Options: |
- Unwind and rewind units can be obtained for calendering of rolls.
- Three roll stack available.
- Temperature gradient calendering possibility.
- Higher pressures and/or temperatures.
- Computerization.
- Metal roll with heating.
- Metal roll without heating.
- Paper filled roll.
- Polymer rolls for gradient- or supercalendering.
