WinShear32

WinShear32 is the latest operating software for the Hercules High Shear,

Model DV-10.

If you have previously used versions of WinShear, you will find that Winshear32

has much of the same functionality but is much easier to use and customize.

WinShear32 is now fully implemented as a Windows 32 bit program, which will allow up to 72 character file names as well as increased speed and functionality.
Up to three customizable default graphs can be displayed after a test is completed to show you exactly the results you prefer to view.
The user can double click any saved test file (.vis file) from Windows Explorer to automatically launch WinShear32 and have that file opened.
Pre-Shear -- runs the test parameters the number of times entered, without collecting data, before running the actual test and saving data.
An option to put annotations on your graphs.
Tabular menus to consolidate many of the software and graph settings into one easy to use dialog.
A password function has been added to prevent unauthorized viscometer calibrations.
The upgraded diagnostic programs and improved Help files aids in troubleshooting.
The improved viscometer-computer communications automatically determines machine setup and error detection when a test is interrupted.
Leveling Index - a quick indication of leveling after coating application.
Shear Blocked report -- designed to analyze the results of fluids which at low shear rates behave Newtonian at first, but as the shear rate increases, the sample may suddenly become dilatant (blocked). An algorithm is applied to the results to identify the break point (where the sample begins to Shear Block).
